Salmon Thursday & Alaska Grown

Salmon Thursday. Can you say Alaska Grown?!

Local lettuce, tomato, cucumber, zucchini, my favorite peanut potatoes and of course the salmon!


  1. What's the black sauce? I love salmon. Is it salmon season now? Show me salmon in all the ways you cook it please. I LOVE salmon!!!

  2. The sauce does look black in the photo! It is balsamic glaze from Trader Joe's. I like to keep my salmon simple. This one had Penzey's Bavarian Seasoning sprinkled on top before I cooked it. I start flesh side down in an oven-safe pan, and let it go for a few minutes. Then I flip it and cook it skin side down and put the pan in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 400°. Time depends on the thickness.

    Salmon season now, yes! :) We almost always have Salmon Thursday. I'll have to post more.

    P.S. this is our last Salmon Thursday in Alaska. Next Thursday we begin our adventure to Washington state! Moving there - just north of Seattle. Lots of salmon and yummy seafood there too!
