Superbowl 2011 - The menu (and links to recipes)

Superbowl is this Sunday and my hubby is quite excited that the Steelers are going again! We are having a few people over to watch the game (and the commercials!) and I've got this menu planned. I tried to keep it simple, and include a few items I can prep on Saturday evening. The game will be on around 2pm here and I didn't want to spend the morning in the kitchen.

No Fry Crab Rangoon - use this filling and then use this other recipe for assembling & baking
Shrimp Cocktail
Pulled Pork on Hawaiian rolls - thanks for the idea Lyndsey!
Cucumber Sandwiches
Smokies in Grape jelly/mustard sauce
Espresso Chocolate Chip Cookies - oh man. espresso & chocolate, need I say more?
Better-Than-Crack Brownies
Cupcakes for Curtis’ birthday - Chocolate Fudge with Vanilla frosting. From a box. Not terribly exciting but it is what he wanted.
Veggies & Ranch Dip - I thought we might be lacking in the veg & fruit department, so these two are there.
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Yes, most of these are new-to-me recipes. If you've been to my blog previously you know I like to use guests & family members as guinea pigs taste-testers. This weekend will be no exception.

I hope you all enjoy the game & good times with friends & family.

  1. It sounds good to me! What would you like me to bring? :D I think it's a talent just to plan out what works well that you can make ahead, and make it work easy for you! Looking forward to see all the picture!
